Heck, he's playable as a starting character ( every single researcher for the SCP foundation is within the reach of a starting character, other than Dr. He'd also have the Prodigy Merit for Composure and Science, Advanced Patient, Epic Indomitable and Integrity 10.I've noticed you have a marked tendency to overstat fictional characters - Gears would get away with just Efficient/Callous as Virtue and Vice, Deadpan, and a high Integrity (not necessarily a 10, though). Except that Gears has a second Virtue of Stoic + the Advanced Virtuous Merit, and his Vice is closer to Callous. He is also one of few people in the world who can speak with and know the same information as the nebulous 13 Overseers who run the Foundation. Gears from the SCP Foundation, who is an extremely intelligent and dutiful scientist at the top ranks of the Foundation with an unexplained, almost total lack of any emotions. This combination of Virtue and Vice reminded me a lot of Dr. As I see it, this is caused by the remaining pieces of the G-M's programming and the radical shifts in perspective that accompany the Fall. The unusual Virtues and Vices that are common among Demons aren't really a sign of a very alien mindset. On the other it represented a willingness to engage in questionable acts to advance their agenda. One of my players used Ambition, on the one hand it represented the drive to work hard and put themselves out to achieve great things. Personally I like the idea of Virtue and Vice being two sides of the same coin, it makes it easier for a normally virtuous character to engage his Vice. On the other end there is the Robin Hood character who does wrong for the greater good, at least as he sees it. For example a thief is a thief, no one cares if he stole bread for his starving children or food from starving children the punishment is the same. The character's sense of right and wrong was defined by a written code, with no consideration for mitigating circumstance or degree of sin. There was a fictional character who's Vice was described as 'He always does the right thing, even when he shouldn't'.
